SCHENECTADY - City police are investigating shots fired late Wednesday in the Vale neighborhood, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The call came in at about 11:15 p.m. in the area of 413 Victory Ave. for a report of shots fired, police said.

Arriving officers found multiple shell casings and a vehicle that appeared to have been struck multiple times, police said. But they found no one injured. Police notified local hospitals, but police reported no injuries discovered since.

Detectives responded and processed the scene. The shooting remained under investigation Thursday.

Police asked anyone with information to contact detectives.
